Felt like doing a sketchy piece. I need to work loosely more often. I say this to myself repeatedly and I've written the same thing in this blog before, but still, there is something about an unrestrained line or stroke that brings so much more energy to a drawing. This one was inspired by one of my favorite artists, the great Skottie Young, much of my work of late has been inspired by what he does. He can get so much of a story across in a simple sketch. You could stare at it for hours and imagine all that happened before it and all that could happen after. That's why I love his work so much, not to mention the outrageous personality he gives his characters. Anyway, more like this to come hopefully.
